The Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department is established in 2009, offers Undergraduate program (B. Tech-120) ,Post Graduate Program (M.Tech-18) in CSE. The B.Tech. (CSE) Program was duly approved by the AICTE and Government of Andhra Pradesh and affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada with an intake of 60. The intake is gradually increased to 120 with two sections by the year 2010. Our Department works with this motto with our faculties of head and heart completely dedicated to the exposure of our students to the world of software and technology.

The department is having well qualified and experienced faculty members: Associate Professors: 1, Assistant Professors: 14. One of the faculty members is enrolled in Ph.D and remaining are postgraduates. The teaching methodology in the department goes beyond fulfilling the syllabus requirements of the University, to meet the today's industry needs. Faculty motivates and guides the students to do mini projects in core subjects. Special focus will be given to develop Communication and Soft Skills. The department is having strong association with industries to uplift the student's practical knowledge.

A good number of faculties are attending the conferences/workshops etc., to enhance their quality in academics. To get themselves acquaint with latest technological trends, the faculty also will be deputed to Industrial training during slack period of the academic year. Faculties are being invited to deliver extension lectures by the industries as per their requirements.

MOU's are signed with Industries in around the Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai to establish the Industry-Institution interaction for arranging Industrial visits, to take up live projects and to offer training to the faculty and staff.

We will reinforce, extend, and diversify our strengths in interdisciplinary innovation and collaboration while striving to become recognized for addressing critical, scientifically important problems. We are committed to creating a graduate research environment and culture that fosters excellence and diversity, and inspires a generation of computer scientist’s externally visible to the college, university, and international computing communities.

 

Long Range Goals

  • To establish R&D center in the department
  • To provide training to the students to certification like ORACLE, MICROSOFT, SUN, IBM

Short range Goals:

  • To achieve more than 90 pass percentage
  • To train all the students so that they would be definitely get placement.
  • To start student clubs like project clubs.
  • To conduct at least one technical event in academic year
  • To conduct faculty development programs once in every semester break.
