The founder president of Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Educational Society, Late Sri Bonam Venkata Chalamayya garu was a Philonthraphist and Social Reformer hailing from an Agricultural family. He developed liking for Technical Education and a strong desire to provide such professional training to the youth of this region, a rural area mainly, and extend the same to all in general. This attitude of late Sri Chalamayya garu prompted him to invest all his life earnings in the establishment of an Engineering College.

After the sad demise of the founder President Sri Chalamayya Garu, his son Sri B.Kanakayya Garu, who is young and dynamic, is looking after the activities of B.V.C.Educational Society as its Secretary. Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Institute of Technology and Science came up at Amalapuram in 2002, with the initiative and under President Sri Chalamayya Garu, his son Sri B.Kanakayya Garu, who is young and dynamic, is looking after the activities of B.V.C.Educational Society as its Secretary. Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Institute of Technology and Science came up at Amalapuram in 2002, with the initiative and under the able guidance of Sri Kanakayya garu who is working with zeal for the development of the existing institutions under the society and for establishing additional institutions.
